Diferent material scenarios

Diferent material scenarios

(OP)
Hi all,

I use HyperMesh 7.0 SP4 and Abaqus 6.5.6

Problem:

Model contain two parts ( slide , bracket ). Engineer have few diferent material proposition for bracket and would know wchich is the best. Because i work with HyperMesh i have to create few hm files and export them to inp files. It is problem when i have to change something in main file (solver params or mesh), then i have to create hm sub cases files and export them all into inp files. It takes to much time.

Question:

How to make it simpler using options hypermesh or abaqus or both of them.

RE: Diferent material scenarios

The ABAQUS pre-/post-processor (i.e. ABAQUS/CAE) has decent modeling and automatic meshing capabilities. So far I have not had to look into using other software for meshing.

RE: Diferent material scenarios

In addition, the scripting capabilities are powerful (and extensible) - so automating repetative tasks is easy.
