Common colours in apperance editor

Common colours in apperance editor

Common colours in apperance editor

(OP)
Hi.

How can I add many colours to the appearance editor and ensure that they can be used in any part/assembly including new files?

The colours I create and set seem only be available for the part file they have been created in.

I would like a large pallete of common colours to able to be used on any part/assembly.

RE: Common colours in apperance editor

You need the config.pro setting for the color map to point to a specific directory. Then just create and save your color file there. Make sure that everyone else's setting points there as well.

I must admit I am a novice when it comes to pro e wf2 set up files.

I have my own cofig file on the c drive as I have map keys there that I use not other people on the network. But as I understand there are other congfig files on the network that all people use (dimemsioning styles etc).

I have noticed that can save an apperance.dtm file when you create lots of colours, but how can all new/exisiting part/assemblies point to this file instead of having to open it each time its required?

RE: Common colours in apperance editor

The option that points to the directory with the appearance.dmt file is

pro_colormap_path
