(OP)
It may be the easy question but can someone explain how to use command "view from 3D" under  Catia v5 drafting mode?

Its been a long time since I used V5 so step by step will be helpful.

RE: view from 3D

When U use Wiev/Annotations planes, annotation etc. in 3D, this is the feature to brng them onto the drawing. This in done by picking the view in the graph or 3D.

RE: view from 3D

Another question about View from 3d.

I have a model that contains only wireframe geometry.  I can create a view from 3d which contains all the appropriate wireframe geometry, however I lose all of the graphic properties associated with each element.

Example, a curve in the 3d model is thick and dashed.  When I make the view from 3d, the curve appears with the default thickness and solid.

How can I keep the 3d graphic properties for an element on a view from 3d?

Thanks.

Using v5r16

RE: view from 3D

Check the view properties and make sure the 3D SPEC and 3D COLOR options are turned on

RE: view from 3D

Thanks Jack.  Both of those options are on.  My speculation is that only color will be transferred onto a drawing from 3D, not linetypes and thicknesses.

RE: view from 3D

I thought they fixed that in R15 or R16 ?
