OK  thanks very much.

RE: NACE MR O1 75

The current version is theh International standard NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-1:2001, Petroleum and natural gas industries - Materials for use in H2S-containing environments in oil and gas production - Part 1:
General principles for selection of cracking-resistant materials.  My copy also reflects a publication date of 2005.  The standard is 175 pages.

Whether or not you obtain a copy of the recent revision to NACE MR0175, consider asking a precise question about the materials.  Much of NACE MR0175 is about hardness.  Carbon steel may be acceptable within the guidelines of Table A-1, Guide to the use of the materials selection tables of Annex A.

RE: NACE MR O1 75

I have seen mention of NACE MR0175-2002 as the latest version (not the publication date).

MR-0175 deals with sulfide stress cracking.

I have heard of another MR that deals with chloride stress cracking - I just can't find the number in my pile right now.

Anyone know the MR number off-hand?
