Stainless Steel In Latching Relay

Stainless Steel In Latching Relay

Stainless Steel In Latching Relay

(OP)
The core for the latching relay that I currently use is no longer made at the specs I need (vacozet 258). The coercivity is 26 Oe.  I was wondering if there was a magnetic stainless steel that I can use.  It has to change poles with a short current pulse and act as a weak permanent magnet after the current pulse to hold the relay latch.

RE: Stainless Steel In Latching Relay

I used to use Vicalloy for this application, but that was 20 years ago.  There are some stainless grades that might work, but controlling coercivity is going to be trickey.
