Calculation software

Calculation software

Calculation software

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I am looking for a software for sizing of pipes, branches and fittings according to codes B31.3, EN and Codeti.
It should be easy to handle and not too expensive.
Any suggestions?

RE: Calculation software

In other words, you want software to take the place of an engineer. A recipe for disaster.

not at all. We cannot replace the calculation engineer.
The software shall simplify the work.
For example we can proceed stress analysis of piping per hand but there is also software for that. Again no programm will replace the analysis of an engineer.

I am sure there are more out there.  CAD is also a recipe for disaster, I suggest going back to pencil...........not!

pencil is still useful for some revamping. Anyway having learnt with them is more than useful.

I am not looking for a stress analysis program but more a wall thickness and branch (under inner pressure) calculation such as Probad from IBM.

A big advantage is the material database update, which is finally not the core business.

RE: Calculation software

have your engineer create a spread sheet with all the equations.
