2D fan modelling?

2D fan modelling?

2D fan modelling?

(OP)
having acquired a CFD code called elmer I am a bit curious. The reason I downloaded it this time (I have tried using it before but not really seriously) is that I was curious as to whether or not it could help us solve a few air-flow problems we have (we are not really allowed to get help from outside of the company and we lack the expertise needed).
We are considering the use of a radial fan but it seems that we need to design the fan ourselves. So, looking at just the fan and possibly the spiral housing which will be used, how would you model a 2D radial/centrifugal fan?
