Flatt Pattern of a Rolled Cylinder in SheetMetal

Flatt Pattern of a Rolled Cylinder in SheetMetal

(OP)
In Sheetmetal, I have used the revolved Wall command to creat a cylinder. I am wondering how I get a flat pattern of this. The problem I have is selecting a fixed area for the bend back as it is cylindrical.

I am hoping to be able to export a 1/1 dxf to the manufacurer so any port cuts in the cyliner are in the correct position.

Any ideas?

create a split to your cylinder and use this edge to remain fix during unbend.

Thanks Hora.

I have done an unbend ok although you have to specifiy the driving/offset side correctly for it to work.

But the Flate State is not completely flat. You still get a 90 degree profile of the rolled cylinder.

Any Ideas??
