Fan curve / pump curve

Fan curve / pump curve

(OP)
I am currently doing a project where I have used the internal fan function to simulate the effect of a certain pump in a system. In have set up a custom fan to follow the pump caracteristics

The problem is that the flow wont stabilize properly in some cases. anyone having a tip on what to do to get it stable?

the strange thing is that its ok for some cases, but when I make some changes to the model ( blocking off some parallel running lines) to calculate the worst case scenario, it runs forever, and the results are no good.

For instance:  the pump curve has a max differential pressure of 9 bar, but the pressure differential over some parts of the line varies between -3 bar and + 20bar..
