HI all!!! Can anyone give me insights on how to measure system resistance curve in a power supply unit in flowbench (AMCA 210 chamber)? Do we have to detach the fan to measure the curve? How come? Thanks!

The performance curve will very closely approximate P=CV**2 where C is a constant, V=flow rate (e.g. cfm) and P is static pressue in inches of water.

You don't need flowbench (whatever that is).  Buy an inexpensive static pressure gage that you can thread into a spot in the enclosure where the air velocity will be zero (approximately).  Turn the fan on and measure the static pressure Ps.  On the fan's characteristic pressure curve find Ps on the ordinate and intercept the curve at that pressure.  That is the operating point of the enclosure for that fan.  The flow rate Vs on the curve's abscissa provides the net flow through the enclosure (for that fan).  You would then have a great approximation for the characteristic enclosure curve.  Calculate C=Ps/(Vs**2) and then P=CV**2=(Ps)(V/Vs)**2 and you're good to go!
