Physical Properties of Crude Oils

Physical Properties of Crude Oils

Physical Properties of Crude Oils

(OP)
Can anyone point me to a source for obtaining the coefficient of thermal expansion and bulk modulus for crude oil?  It would be great if the properties were broken down by prevailing crude oil stocks listed by geographical areas in the United States.   Specifically, I would like to see typical ranges for mixed base crude oils.

RE: Physical Properties of Crude Oils

There is a database of about 2500 crudes with the values you need plus some additional properties.

Thanks 0707; however, I did not see coefficient of thermal expansion and bulk modulus properties listed at the site.

BigInch, I too agree that there are data bases (both private and public) with the information that I am looking for. If you have access to the information and wish to share it.  Please post typical ranges for mixed base crude oils.  If your source is a public data base, please share the location of the material.

Does 8*10^-4 1/K and 1.7*10^9 Pa seem reasonable for a mixed base crude oil, SG of 0.86 at 25 degC? If so, what type of range +- do the coefficients have for mixed base crudes?

RE: Physical Properties of Crude Oils

Maxwell's Data Book on Hydrocarbons is still available in reprint.  I got mine from amazon.com.

BigInch,
I paid around $40 for a new reissue.  Search on Amazon for "Maxwell hydrocarbon" and you'll find plenty available.
