Reducing Concentrationf of VOCs

Reducing Concentrationf of VOCs

Reducing Concentrationf of VOCs

(OP)
I have been trying to determine how to estimate the amount of time it will take to reduce the concentrations of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in a soil using Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) method.

I have found some information but no thorough description.

Anyone have experience with this?

RE: Reducing Concentrationf of VOCs

SVE is still at the cutting edge of research.  If you can do a journal search, that's your best bet.

I did find this page on the EPA's site, and it references a few (government) publications that could help. They're a little old (from the early '90s), and the technology is developing. One of my fellow grad students just completed her masters thesis on the effect of adding heat/electromagnetic radiation to the soil.

BioSVE software could also be useful.  Have you seen it before?
