SOUCE OF SUPPLY--POROUS SINTERED BRONZE
SOUCE OF SUPPLY--POROUS SINTERED BRONZE
(OP)
I have a need for tubular sintered bronze. I am having a hard time finding a domestic (US) supplier that stocks standard sizes. I reviewed a similar post from '04, the links provided were either foreign or no longer good.
I would like to procure a small (15-20" legnth) quantity of tube with OD 3/8-5/8", and wall thickness .050-.150". Please provide any known sources of supply or advice.
Thanks, TIM

If you could use bronze you might be able to find a filter in your dimensions.
Here are two that might be able to provide you with what you need. I would give each a call. You might get be able to find an end user with a product near you dimensions.

http://www.mcmaster.com/ (search SAE 841 bronze)
You will probably need to machine from solid bar to achieve the dimensions you note. Also, getting lengths over 12" will be a trick, most presses I've seen for PM don't open much beyond 12".
