Use of Helicoils with API6A Kit?

Use of Helicoils with API6A Kit?

Use of Helicoils with API6A Kit?

(OP)
Has anyone come across a situation where a tapped hole is on the wrong PCD and the use of a helicoil (eccentric external / internal thread) could correct this?  The problem I have is with the API 6A monogram requirement on this job.  Will this make the monogram invalid??

Help much appreciated.

You and I appear to be the only ones here who deal with API 6A.

Your question:  I have never found anything where 6A addressed this.  I have installed helicoils in valves but I can't remember if they were monogramed.  Your abbv. PCD - what does that mean - pressure containing device?

My best guess would be if the customer would accept it- then it would be ok.  Everything I have researched - helicoils would be safe fix for your valve.
