Need help for calculation of Actual Chiller Load in reference to the o
(OP)
Hi Everybody,
I need help in calculating the Actual chiller Load for a room if I am having the following data available with me.
Outside Wet Bulb :- 23, 24, 25, 26 Deg. C (I need to calculate at the given four temp.
Room Set Points :- Temp.= 31 Deg.C %RH= 45
Running Electrical Load = 1088 KW (Including Machine Load, Solar Load and Lighting Load)
Supply Air Volume = 250000 m3/Hr.
Please send me the working formula also because I need to understand the whole system and also I need to calculate for different Room Set Points also.
I will be very thankful to you.

RE: Need help for calculation of Actual Chiller Load in reference to the o
If infiltration is part of your cooling load then, your cooling system will also have to respond to an increased heat content in that outside air.
For starters, try reading up on pyschrometrics, you could try this FAQ by Yorkman http://www.eng-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=1255
Maybe some trane rep is trying to get you to spec his chillers, hit him up for their laaminated pyschrometric chart, has some useful instructions on the back.
You should be consulting with a mechanical colleague. Your question is analogous to a mechanical engineer posting to figure out a capacitor bank needed to improve the power factor of a factory.
Take the "V" out of HVAC and you are left with a HAC(k) job.

At least I understood the pyschometric stuff.... but the mechanical guru thing? HHmmmmm just thinking pyschometric made my head hurt more....
Bubbly one :)
