we just got catia v5 r16
I have a question about the licenses, aparently we have a license that you download to each machine from the server as you use it. I installed the software on my workstation and our IT guy put it on the network. I do not understand how to active workstations I am a newb, and I am only familiar with net hasps.
Thanks.

RE: installing catia v5 r16

You have to actually enroll the license in LUM before Catia can recognize it.

Type "i4blt" at a command prompt, and make sure that your license is active.  There is something called "ifor license for power" or something like that, that comes default with LUM - that is NOT what you are looking for.

It will have to be enrolled on the machine that is designated as the Central License Server.

LUM is not very good at telling you when things are not right, so if you don't see the license, don't expect any sort of intuitive prompting from the software.
