fusing codes for motor control panels

fusing codes for motor control panels

(OP)
Good Morning All,
This will be my first thread or question on this site.

I need some help in codes requirements?

I am building a motor control panel with a 480v 3phase 30amp fused disconnect.
I want to know if fusing the panel and adding overload protection on the motor starters is sufficient to satisfy code?

I am in California......Thanks....

RE: fusing codes for motor control panels

Provided you do it according to code, yes. Assuming it is a motor load, the requirements are laid out in section 430 of the NEC.
