Chartless data acquisition system

(OP)
I am looking for a chartless, digital data acquisition system with computer connectivity for measuring ac & dc voltages and currents, frequency and PT 100 RTD's. No of channels 12-15.

I had a look at Yokogawa FX 100 series and would appreciate any other manufacturer that members have found reliable.

If this is should be posted in any other forum, pls let me know.

Thanks.

RE: Chartless data acquisition system

Hi Edison,

Check out Eurotherm and Astro-Med for some nice data acquisition products. Astro's DASH range gives a lot of bang for your buck. Both are good solid manufacturers with a long reputation of building instruments for industrial users.

There is also the National Instruments range which might be worth a look. It's top quality equipment but in my opinion it's better suited to a laboratory or development environment. I wouldn't choose it for use at our power plant, for example, but in the R&D facility I used to work at it was superbly suited and incredibly versatile.

I love the UBS port on the Honeywell QX.  Stick a flash drive in, grab the data, go look at it.   Easy to put annotation on, too, with the touch screen and QWERTY keyboard on the screen.  It uses a computer" power cord so there's no exposed AC on back (unless you connect AC for relay outputs.

Thx scotty & danw2.

Will the above fit my budget of $ 2000-2500.

RE: Chartless data acquisition system

Only on eBay!

Seriously, there are quite a few dealers in the UK and probably elsewhere who deal with equipment released from Government facilities and the military which is usually fairly new, well looked after and regularly calibrated, and available at a fraction of the new price. It's nice to know my taxes go somewhere.
