Has anyone done any work with converting Aircraft hangar suppression 3% AFFF systems to  Hi-Ex foam systems?    If so, any huge issues?  problems?

RE: Air Craft Hangars Suppression Systems

Not sure how you would convert a floor level nozzle based AFFF system to a High Expansion foam system.  We have found that the foam generators must be located at the roof to get good coverage.

Delievery meathods are quite different in my experience.

All the hangars in question already have overhead suppression AFFF. We are wanting to do away with the AFFF, it cost a huge amount on the flow test every two years.  Hi-EX would be much cheaper to test.
