Theoretical burst speed of a disk
Theoretical burst speed of a disk
(OP)
This must be a fairly simple equation. I looked through my old physics textbooks from 30 years ago and couldn't find it. I tried to google it, but there is WAY too much information, and NO equations.

RE: Theoretical burst speed of a disk
Would I figure that the entire mass was at the radius of gyration?
Am I getting close?...

This is a pump forum but your title, which, I assume, is the question, doesn't appear to have anything to do with pumps. I'd suggest forum 404 (Mechanical Engineering - Other Topics). However, if you decide to post there, be sure to leave a note here directing replies to that posting. Also you might want to consider posting your question inside the message, not just in the title.

Thank you for the advice.
