BOM question

BOM question

BOM question

(OP)
I am assembling parts with the same part name and reference number, but different lenghts.

When I open the BOM of the assembly, Inventor consider the parts as instances of only one part, although there are diferent files in diferent directories. Furthermore, the parameter "Lenght" in the drawing parts list is displayed as "*varies*",and all the parts in the same line.
How can I do a parts list with the lenght parameter of each part in a line, without changing the file names or part number?

There are any other alternative?

Thanks in advance

Pedro Sánchez

RE: BOM question

Is this something like an extrusion of a profile, i.e. like structural steel?

RE: BOM question

(OP)
Yes, it is an structural steel part.

We use the part in variable sizes into a parametric assembly. Entering the global variables in an Excel sheet, Inventor adjust the lenght of the part.

Could you help me?
