Mechanical Desktop to Volo View problems

Mechanical Desktop to Volo View problems

(OP)
Hey all,

I have a mechanical desktop drawing that has 3d solids in it. Our doc control system uses Volo View to display .dwg files. When I open the file in Volo View, I get a wireframe view of the 3d model even if it is shaded when I open it in mechanical desktop. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? I know this really isn't a Volo View forum but I was hoping someone else has had similar issues.

Thanks,

David

RE: Mechanical Desktop to Volo View problems

I guess Volo view has limitations.  I had an ACAD .dwg drawing which I had plotted at a local copying firm.  My drawing plotted correctly with the exception of my parts list which was left out.  I had typed in the parts list in Excel and Copy/Paste to my drawing.  Next time I'll have to type out my parts directly into the drawing.
