Can I select Nodes a specified distance from a geometric feature?
Can I select Nodes a specified distance from a geometric feature?
(OP)
Trying to come up to speed on Patran. I used Cosmos/M some years ago and I remember that you could "PUSH" nodes to a nearby surface.
Is there something equivalent to that in Patran? I'm trying to find a way to easily create groupings of nodes for applying loads and boundary conditions without haveing to select them one at a time or take my chances with the "rubber-band" tool.
Thanks,
Joe

"pushing" nodes means either projection, or translation.. in any case you intend to modify elements, right?

I'm still coming up the learning curve in Patran so I tend to think in terms of that I've used in the past.
Although, I think if I search the Patran documentation for "project" I might find something similar.
Thanks for your input.
