Hi,

I have a gas well that is completed in two zones.  One with MPP at ~650 mKB and the other with MPP at ~ 550 mKB.

I want to commingled the two zones and run 60.3mm tubing without a packer.  My question is where to land the tubing.  Do I land tubing intake at about 650 or at 550.  Or do I land at 650 but put a sliding sleeve at 550?

If I land at 650 then the gas from the zone at 550 has to go all the way down the annulus to flow up tubing.

If I land at 550 then the gas from 650 zone has to travel up 100m of casing flow.  

Landing at 650 with a sleeve at 550 sounds like the best option to me.  Does anyone have experience with this?

The two zones are ones that we usually have some liquid loading issues with and coil may also me an option instead of 60.3mm.

Ive never used a sliding sleeve for coil tubing.  Is there such a thing as SSL for coil tubing?  I guess I could just punch holes in the coil tubing.

I'd recommend landing the tubing above the uppermost producing zone.  This wiil:

- Reduce the size of the gas bubble in the annulus
- Allow production logging and through tubing interventions at a later date to access both producing zones.
- without a packer a sliding sleeve is pointless- SSDs in this application would be used (with two packers) to selectively produce one or other zone.
  
However I'd query the use of a packerless c ompletion.... is there a real adavantage to doing without a packer? Have you considered future interventions on the well?  If you want to workover the well (even if all you want to do is abandon it!), how will you achieve two barriers between the reservoir and the surface in order to remove the Xmas tree and install a BOP? I've lost count of the times I've been doing difficult interventions and workovers on wells that were designed without thought for the future life of the well....slotted liners in vertical wells in layered reservoirs, for example...if I ever find the idiot who thought that one up in a field in SE Asia....!
