Black Parts

Black Parts

Black Parts

(OP)
Hi everyone, I'm using Solidworks 2006 and I have a funny issue.  When I'm done working on a part and save it, the part turns black, then when I move back to my assembly most of those parts are also black.  When I close and re-open solidworks the parts are back to their normal color.

Any Ideas?
Thanks

RE: Black Parts

Sounds like a video card/driver problem.

Which ones are you using?

cheers

I have an:

ATI Mobility Radeon X600 SE video card.

The driver you are looking for is the Solidworks driver not the system driver.  I dont know how to find that.

RE: Black Parts

I experienced this same problem with 2005 and a non-certified card. Once I changed the card, the problem went away.

I think CBL is correct: Time for an upgrade.

RE: Black Parts

If you'd rather just work way slower you can check the "Use Software OpenGL" option.
