Industrail equipment/electrical Enclsoures

(OP)
In industrial equipment, we want to have the enclousre for the power and controls be a part of the equipment, instead of building or buying a speprate enclosure and mounting it in the equipment or on the equipment.

What regulations is the enclsoure requrieed to conform to for the USA and EU?

How can Idetermine if the enclsoure is "suitable" for use?

RE: Industrail equipment/electrical Enclsoures

USA standards:
NFPA 79 "Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery".
NFPA 70 Article 409 "Industrial Control Panels".
UL 508A "Industrial Control Panels".

EU standards:
CEI/IEC 60204-1 "Safety of Machinery-Electrical Equipment of Machines".
