exporting individual detail views

(OP)
Is there a way to export just one view of a print to a DWG or DXF file? For instance if I'm exporting a file for use in a wire EDM machine and need only the outline of an insert and I don't want the complete print to be exported.

thanks

RE: exporting individual detail views

Not sure how to export a single view, but you can save as DWG or DXF, and then clean it up by deleting the unnecessary entities.  Use the DWGEditor if you do not have ACAD.

... or you could drag the view onto a blank sheet and then create the DWG or DXF.

RE: exporting individual detail views

... or you could just Hide the other views before creating the DXF. You will be asked whether you want to hide the dependant (detail) view when hiding the parent views.
