how to enter in IBM PII setup

(OP)
hi,
I have a IBM PII PC with windows 98 installed. I want to enter in the setup. I tried by pressing DEL and F2 but could not enter in the setup. Please tell me how I could enter in its setup.

RE: how to enter in IBM PII setup

Try pressing all of the function keys (serperately).  Sometimes it's <F12>, or <F1>, but I have also seen <F5>.

Good Luck!

RE: how to enter in IBM PII setup

Hi,

I agree with the above. I have seen many which use F1 and the odd F12. Also there was one that required a three fingered press to access the CMOS and this could be at any time not just run up.

If you have no luck trying the various keys on startup you could always go to the manufacturer and ask them.

If all else fails, you used to be able to remove the HDD data cable and it halted on run up asking if you want to run setup. Whether your machine does or not, well only you can answer that one.

Any help ?, yes no let me know.

Regards
