show/erase in very large assembly

show/erase in very large assembly

(OP)
I have an extremely large assemble. when trying to "show"
dimensions, i get way, way to many dimensions that show up.
I need to pick a couple and it's to hard to weed thru and find the correct dims I need. I know I could create these dims but, is there a way in the config options to somehow minimize which dims are shown?

Thanks

RE: show/erase in very large assembly

Use the SHOW/ERASE feature and pick by Part or Feature or View. Or whatever option you think is best. You can also use the FIND button to search for a particular feature or component.

The config.pro settings do not address any SHOW/ERASE options, except for the show_preview_default option (pick to have the SELECT TO KEEP or SELECT TO REMOVE button as default).

RE: show/erase in very large assembly

If you know the feature that you want to dimension, you can right click it in the feature table on the left of the screen.

Right click and select either show dimension or show dimensions in view.

If you show the feature numbers in the model and the drawing, it's easier to identify the feature that you want to dimension.
