0.1-3Ghz level measurement
0.1-3Ghz level measurement
(OP)
I would need measure RF input level in the 0.1-3Ghz margin and <100ns response time. I found http://ww w.linear.c om/pc/down loadDocume nt.do?navI d=H0,C1,C1 011,C1743, P2218,D298 9#search=% 22%20rf%20 measure%22 but needs about 200ns and do not cover the range.

RE: 0.1-3Ghz level measurement
This method has several limitations and might not be applicable.

.001 to 8 GHz, 60 dB dynamic range, 1 dB accuracy, 5V @ 68 mA supply, about 10 nS response time.

Linear Tech in this nich market is playing catch-up. They have come out with somewhat similar devices. LT is trying to beat AD in the type of detector that is used to power control RF amplifers in wireless apps. Maxim is now comming out with these too.
The LT5504 with it's downconversion I had not seen. I don't know of any other downconverting type like this.

Cost 9€ at RS, it consumption is very few and it is very easy to use. I will see analogs also, thanks.
I would like use a loop antenna to measure with because broadband range. I would use a half loop wire to calibrate it. Do anybody know the volts/meter (aprox) relation with inducted voltage and wire size?
I have seen that I could use also to measure magnetic flux
