Timber Light Poles and Piling

Timber Light Poles and Piling

Timber Light Poles and Piling

(OP)
We are renovating a small baseball complex.  During this renovation, the timber poles that support outfield lights and transformers will be demolished.  Is there a way to re-use these poles as timber piling for pedestrian bridges?

RE: Timber Light Poles and Piling

If they are in good condition... perhaps. However even new utility poles often do not have the as much preservative in them as "typical" piling specs require. If that is the case, you could premature problems with them. Timber piling (material only) are relatively inexpensive - the real cost is in the pile driving (labor & equipment), suggest not taking a chance
