Exhaust extensions

(OP)
Has anybody any information or knowledge on long exhaust piping extensions?I have to install 3 x 1825 Kva diesel generators 7.5 metres below ground level with 100 metre exhaust extensions vertically through the centre service shaft in a new hotel project.

RE: Exhaust extensions

The engine manufacturer can tell you the exhaust gas temperature and flow rate, the allowable backpressure limit, and the load limit for the exhaust flange.  Be sure to include flexible connections so the engines can dance around a bit, and supports for the pipe.

Silencers will eat a lot of your backpressure budget; get help selecting them from a silencer manufacturer.
