Wrap Problem

Wrap Problem

Wrap Problem

(OP)
I am having an issue using wrap.  Basically what i have is a 1/2 cylinder that i want to put a "grip texture" on.  I thought that wrap would be the best method to do this but i keep getting the error "wrap failed could not use any contours from sketch."  The sketch is closed i checked evey point 100 times.  Here is a link to the image of what i am trying to do.

Thanks for any help.

RE: Wrap Problem

The sketch you are trying to wrap is probably too long to fit onto the curved surface.

cheers

RE: Wrap Problem

Yes it is probably too long as CBL wrote. It sees the flats in the way.
Make the length of the sketch the same as the diameter.

I made the curve the same as the arc length and it worked.  I did that earlier and it didn't work, I must not have had something perfect.  Thanks for the help.
