I am currently writing a project-specific, piping specification that involves large bore (30") pipe at high pressures (max 3000 psig) and high temperatures (425 deg F).  The client has requested that we use B31.3 for code.  I will need to purchase pipe and fittings for this application and have been unsuccessful in finding a material that is suitable for the process conditions and does not step outside the bounadry of B31.3.  For example, B31.3 allows use of A106B pipe up to the temperature and pressure that I need, however 30" pipe is not manufactured without a seam.  Another example, B31.3 also allows use of API 5L grade pipe, but not above 400 deg F.  I am looking for suggestions on alternative standards to suggest to the client as well as possible sources for the pipe and fittings that I require. Thank you for your help!

Why can you not have a seam? Chapter IX does not preclude welded pipe or fittings.

I dont have the ASME Code in front of me right now, but i believe that A106B is seamless pipe.  I am allowed to have a seam (as 30" pipe is not manufactured without one), however i cannot find a common material that 30" pipe is manufactured in that falls in the ASME B31.3 code for all constraints: 30" OD, 425 deg F, 3000 psig. Any ideas?

ASTM A672 looks a reasonable bet.

Thank you for the helpful suggestion. This route had crossed my mind before and i have a feeling this is the route i am going to have to take.
