Test of 90kV overhead lines

Test of 90kV overhead lines

(OP)
Hi,
I am looking for typical electrical tests which must be performed before commissioning a 90kV overhead line.
Does any IEC standards or other equivalent standards describe such a test?

During my time with a big southern (US) electrical utility, it was my observation that they did NO testing of the electrical variety.  The line construction crew foreman and others visually inspected the line before energizing.

The equipment at the ends of the line, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, lightning arrestors, protective realys, controls, etc., were all tested of course, but the line was only given a visual inspection.

Visual checks as oldguy said for radial lines. Make sure the safety grounds are removed. For loop feeds, check with phasing sticks before making the loop. Check phase to phase to test the tester before and after checking across the switch.
