Can't select a face in an assembly

Can't select a face in an assembly

Can't select a face in an assembly

(OP)
I have a part in an assembly and cannot select obvious faces.  When I try to select a face in the assembly, it's almost like the part is not there meaning all the faces of the parts behind it start highlighting. The part when open behaves appropriately.

Any suggestions?

Do you have a level of transparency set on the part?

RE: Can't select a face in an assembly

I had a similar problem sometime ago I ended up closing the application and re-opening and that seemed to cure it.

RE: Can't select a face in an assembly

Did you try to turn off your selection filter?

One of the extrusions of the part did have transparency.
I removed it and the problem was solved.

My VAR pointed out to me that if you hold SHIFT, it allows you to select faces with transparency.

Thanks for your help.
