Drawing decimal places

Drawing decimal places

Drawing decimal places

I am trying to set the number of decimal places shown in my drawing and I don't want to go through and change everyone individually.

RE: Drawing decimal places

I'm not using WF3 but in 2001 the config option is LINEAR_TOL

RE: Drawing decimal places

config.pro setting is: default_dec_places

RE: Drawing decimal places

If it an already existing drawing, you can select all the dimensions at once (use ctrl key) and right click for properties.  Change the decimal place number accordingly.  *** I'm not sure if this still works in WF3.  Please let us know.

Mike - yes you can still select all of the dims and right click in WF3.

However I didn't really want to do it this way because my drawing is for an assembly and is 10 pages long.  I was looking for an option I could change that would force all of the dimensions to 3 places.

RE: Drawing decimal places

As with most config settings, they only apply to new objects added to the model/drawing after they have been applied. There are very, if any, settings that will change all vlaues without selecting them first for the chnage.

RE: Drawing decimal places

The quick way to change all of them is to use the selection filter at the bottom right of the screen. Change it to "Dimensions" and then drag-select a box over the whole sheet. Only dimensions will be chosen. Then hit Edit-->Properties and change the decimal places to three.

I have a few mapkeys that make this easier on me. I.e., When I hit '333', any chosen dimensions go to three decimal places, and so on.
