Help a newbie (beam with moment howTo)

Help a newbie (beam with moment howTo)

(OP)
Hello all,

I have a beam 10 meters long. With 12 kN/m distributed on half of the beam. In the middle of the beam I also have a moment -30 kN*m. How do you add (specify) in SAP2000 this moment ?

In my books it appears like a curved arrow, how does it appear in SAP2000 ?

Thanks,

gasma1975

RE: Help a newbie (beam with moment howTo)

Appears has two-arrows on the way of the axis, so depends on which axis do you assign the moment

X-X, Y-Y and Z-Z and the rule of the right hand applies
