Flat pattern view of mirrored sheet metal parts?

Flat pattern view of mirrored sheet metal parts?

Flat pattern view of mirrored sheet metal parts?

(OP)
How do I create one? Do I do an "insert bends" so I can
get a flat pattern to show up in the orientation when
I insert a model view...? I can get it to work, but was
just wondering what the right way is...

RE: Flat pattern view of mirrored sheet metal parts?

Since it is a mirrored part, and therefore identical to the original part, why not just use the flat pattern of the original part instead of the mirrored part?

RE: Flat pattern view of mirrored sheet metal parts?

Isn't this the same part either way?...just flip the sheet over before you bend it!

It's actually got a few additional hole features added to
it.

RE: Flat pattern view of mirrored sheet metal parts?

dutch7777 ... yes, you need to use the Insert Bends tool to re-create the mirrored part as a SM part. That's the only way I know of for a mirrored part.

cheers
