Alternate to Propak random packing

Alternate to Propak random packing

Alternate to Propak random packing

(OP)
Our company uses Cannon Instrument Co. (formerly Scientific Development) Propak random packing. We are looking for an alternative material because of cost and delivery issues.
Can anyone who is familiar with this packing offer an alternative? We use 316ss, Monel 400 & Alloy 20 alloys.

RE: Alternate to Propak random packing

I would switch to a structured packing.  Probably SulzerChemtech BX packing.  It has a lower pressure drop and you still get several theoretical stages per foot.  BY is also a good packing but the pressure drop is a little higher.  Cost is probably higher, based on my experience.
