Excel Spread Sheets / Software

Excel Spread Sheets / Software

Excel Spread Sheets / Software

(OP)
Hi
as most calculations are simple its not nesscary to use EXCEL but sometimes they are nice for displaying info.

Has any anyone got EXCEL or software they would share?
I have have written a few and would be happy to share not sure how to do this?
I have simple spread sheets for OEE and some ohers...

open to ideas....

RE: Excel Spread Sheets / Software

Excel is remarkable for its capability. I have even seen unqualified 'engrs' use it effectively for product cost estimating.

It's worth the cost and the time to become expert in it. Take a formal course to learn things that would elude you if you tried teaching yourself.

RE: Excel Spread Sheets / Software

We use excel for most of our company systems, from product costing to effeciency measurements. We also use it for all of our Work Shop Instructions, and these are all linked via hyperlinks to a main document. It really is an excellent piece of software. I have built quite a few calculating and analytical models with it, and have never had any formal training. I am sure they could be better if I did, and I am going to get proper training, but it shows just how simple it is to use.

Bladey.

RE: Excel Spread Sheets / Software

I have spent years thinking Excel was a waste of time until my husband (computer engineer)should me its possibilities, specifically using the mathematical shortcuts. Now I use it on a daily basis.
