Clamp-on 230 kV Optical CTs?

Does such a beast exist?

Thanks for the link. All the NxtPhase stuff I've seen has been the standard column type.

I've got some office guys here who swear they saw a clamp-on application that I guess they think actually hangs from the conductor or something. They think they saw this in T&D mag.

Anyone seen/heard of something like that? My Googling has failed me so far.

RE: Clamp-on 230 kV Optical CTs?

Bladwig-

My company (formerly Ritz, which has been purchased by Areva) bought a company called Photonics that made such a device.

The product is not currently available, as it didn't prove to be terribly reliable in the field. They were also pretty expensive and really couldn't do too much more than we can do currently with conventional CTs, outside of the rare space/clearance issue.
