Can anybody tell me the formula for working out the heat inputs on a PQR and Wps . I have the Amps Volts and Travel Speed. I ususally do it Volts x Amps x 60 / Travel speed.

ASME B7PV Code Section IX, QW-409.1 addresses heat input calcs. You have two methods; the formula you stated above or by volume of weld deposited; increase in bead size and decrease in length of consumed electrode.
