(OP)
Trying to print CATIA V4 files to our HP8150N printer, specifically the “B” size tray. Always defaults to “A” size tray. Tried using different settings with PS, but no luck.

RE: CATIA V4 Printing 11 x 17

All I got is workarounds.

Caveman:
You can go through the menus at the printer and set it to use only the drawer the desired size is in. Like a manual override. Send your drawing, and then change the printer back to defaults afterwards. Most printers now have a nice interface that you can log into with a browser.

Cheapness:
I also used a plot2tiff queue, then printed with and image viewer. http://www.irfanview.com is the one of the best free things on the internet (needs Windows).

Got a budget?:
What worked easiest was a hpgl2pdf converter. Most pltcfg files dump a catout.gl2 in your home when you plot. You can use something like http://www.softwarecompanions.com/viewcomp.html to view, print, and convert (needs Windows).

get.IT:
If you are a tube jockey that can configure printers on UNIX, then you need to raise your rate. It is two jobs in one.
