Change drawing view notes

Change drawing view notes

Change drawing view notes

(OP)
Is there a way to change the view notes are attached
to? I'm revising some drawings that seem to have had all notes placed with only one view (focus) activated at the
time.

RE: Change drawing view notes

Cut-n-paste?

Select the note, CTRL-C, select target view, CTRL-V.

cheers

THX...my keen sense for the obvious must be fleeting...lol

RE: Change drawing view notes

Cut and paste is the way I do it whenever I'm working on someone else's drawings.

FYI, To prevent a note from locking to a view, right-click the sheet (not on a view) and pick "Lock sheet focus" and then insert your note.  Unlock sheet focus whenever your done.

A shortcut to do the above is to simply double-click the sheet (not on a view) to lock sheet focus.

RE: Change drawing view notes

Another way to attach your note to the correct view is to turn on its leader, attach the leader to some geometry in the correct view, and then turn the leader back off.

RE: Change drawing view notes

Ooops ... just realised that should have been CTRL-X, not CTRL-C.

cheers
