Excel sheet to 2D polar plot software

Excel sheet to 2D polar plot software

(OP)
Hi all;
I am looking for a stand alone piece of software that will allow me to input my far-field range numbers into an excel format and will generate 2D polar plots of those numbers. I have seen it before and cant remember what it is called.
Any help you can give is most appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Excel sheet to 2D polar plot software

That feature is already built into MS Excel; it's called the Chart Wizard. I think that you probably want the 'Radar' plot. All you need to do is to cut and paste the numbers into Excel, perhaps add some filler data (-99dBi for example) if you don't have a complete 360-degree data set, then select the data and run the Chart Wizard.

I've gone so far as to extrapolate 2-D data into a best-guess complete 3-D (Mercator projection) data set, and then conduct a study of antenna combining options, and their coverage patterns over the entire sphere.
