mil-std-810 - duration for Category24?

mil-std-810 - duration for Category24?

mil-std-810 - duration for Category24?

(OP)
Reviewing MIL-STD-810F, I'm trying to resolve the following.

I have a specification that indicates we need to satify:
"MIL-STD-810F, Method 5.1.4.5 Procedure 1 Category 24 (minimum integrity)

Thats all well and good but I can't find where its described how long the test has to be run in each axis?
In 2.4.1 Category 24 there is a section "e" that is "Exposure duration" and references 514.5C-17 but this just gives a PSD graph. It doesn't tell me duration.

What did I miss?

Thanks

RE: mil-std-810 - duration for Category24?

Have you read the caption of Figure 514.5C-17?

My copy says, "Test duration: one hour per axis."  Does yours say something different?

I didn't see that on mine. Mine is a PDF, maybe its a printing glitch or something. Are you looking at revision F?

Thanks for your help.

Oh, sorry, I have F1, which has the captions updated.  Sounds like you need to get that update

If nothing else, WINPOP, ask the contracting officer to get clarification from the tech reps for the contract.  I used to answer all sorts of questions when I served as COTR and COR on Government contracts in the 80's and 90's.  COTRs and COR expect questions, so don't hesitate to get the answers you need to help you do your job.
