Trading environment - people loads

Trading environment - people loads

Trading environment - people loads

ASHRAE provide guidelines for light and moderate office work latent and sensible loads for people.  I am curious as to what latent and sensible loads (for people) are used by other engineers for a dense trading enviroment which is different (in my opinion)then a regular office worker.

Any thoughts?

RE: Trading environment - people loads

ASHRAE "Fundamentals", in chapt 30 gives latent/sensible loads for 14 types of work from the lightest (seated at theater) to the heaviest (athletics).

The Engineer must exersize his judgement as to where "dense trading enviroment" falls.

RE: Trading environment - people loads

Lol the sensible and latent gains of over-stressed, over-weight,  A-type personalities

I have been using my own judgement in determining the loads in a dense trading environment.  I was curoius to see if my calculations were in line with what others have done or would do for a similar environment.  Whether or not they would treat the poeple as light office workers or if they would attribute higher latent and sensible loads to the over-stressed type 'A' personalities.

RE: Trading environment - people loads

So what are you using 275 sensible and 275 latent?

I am using 275 Sensible and 375 latent.
