PRINT an SE draft to PDF with EXCEL objects ?

PRINT an SE draft to PDF with EXCEL objects ?

(OP)
My Solid Edge v18 draft format has an MS Excel spreadsheet placed as an object on a background sheet. The spreadsheet is used to document revisions. My drafts are converted to PDF for secured sharing. I would like to be able to use Adobe Distiller to create these files, however Distiller creates the files without displaying the spreadsheet. I currently work around this problem by printing, scanning and then converting the scans to PDF. I would greatly appreciate any advice that would enable me to avoid the printing and scanning process.

RE: PRINT an SE draft to PDF with EXCEL objects ?

Rob,

I've no problem with that, I'm using Acrobat 7.0. The sheet can
either be embedded or linked
You must, however, ensure that the background sheet with Excel
is at least used by one working sheet and 'Show Background' is activated.
If there are more than one sheet within the draft to be printed
you have to activate the 'Print All' option (it's remembered accross
sessions (V18) and honoured by batch.exe
Doing a batch.print (batch.exe) and setting prior to run the default
system printer to Adobe PDF did also work that is the Excel got
printed along with the other data.

Rob,

Try downloading PDF995 (.com), it allows you to set a PDF writer as a printer, easy work around I find...
