Eductor

Eductor

(OP)
An eductor is used to increase the pressure of a suction gas from 3.5 bara@47°C to 25 bara. The motive gas is at 85 bara@160°C. What will be the discarge temperature of the eductor?  How to calculate the discharge temperature ? Is there any way to model an eductor in a steady state HYSYS flowsheet if I know the motive gas requirements ?

RE: Eductor

Your hysis jet should be just a mixer-heater (P=25bara, duty=0). You just need to flash your mixed streams, outlet temperature is calculated from the enthalpy balance- no external work is input or extracted in a jet. I think this is correct for you.

best wishes,
sshep
